Peggy (Margaret) H. Cunningham is a Professor and R.A. Jodrey Chair in the Rowe School of Business at Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, where she teaches in the undergraduate and MBA programs. She served as the Dean of the Faculty of Management from 2010-15. She received her undergraduate degree in English Literature in 1971 from Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario; completed her MBA in Marketing in 1985 at the University of Calgary, Calgary, Alberta, Canada; and earned her Ph.D. in Marketing in 1992 from Texas A & M University, College Station, Texas. Dr. Cunningham is currently undertaking studies of sustained unethical behaviour in organizations, the consequences of withdrawal from cause-related marketing programs, and Canadian Gazelles – medium sized, private, fast growth companies. Her other interests centre on corporate social responsibility, marketing ethics, and marketing partnerships including stakeholder engagement. Her research is published in major journals, and it has been recognized with a number of awards. Dr. Cunningham also has practitioner and international experience. Before becoming an academic, she worked for over 15 years in various firms. She has considerable Board experience having served on over 12 different corporate and non-profit boards.
